You’ll need to give a minimum of 28 days’ notice before the day of your collection, to allow us time to consider your application.

There are no fees attached with this application.

Our policy on street collections is listed below:

• one charity collection in any area of Warrington at any time
• one application form per collection
• maximum of two collections per year
• maximum of 12 badges may be applied for
• expenditure returns form should be completed one month after date of collection

You can assume your application has been granted if you’ve not heard from us by the date that you requested to collect your licence.

 

Applicants are required to submit a statement of income form no later than one month after the date of the collection. This form is issued with the permit for a street collection.

Please ensure that your name and address, the charity name, and the street collection permit number are clearly marked on the form before submitting to the licensing section.

If you’ve misplaced your statement of income form, please download a replacement form.

You can appeal if:

• you're refused a licence
• if you're unhappy with a condition attached to the licence
  
   

If a member of the public has a complaint about your licence, we always advise for that person to contact you directly, preferably in the form a letter with proof of delivery.

If that hasn’t worked, we advise the person to contact Citizens Advice, or the UK European Consumer Centre if they’re outside the UK.

Any person objecting to an application for the grant, renewal or transfer of a licence may give written notice of their objection to the council, stating the grounds of the objection, within 28 days of the date of the application. Please email licensingcomplaints@warrington.gov.uk
