Our multi-award winning market is home to more than 50 fantastic independent traders, selling a wide range of fresh food, gifts, goods and services.

The purpose built, state-of-the-art facility features a combination of traditional features and contemporary charm, with the two-storey building bordered by Bridge Street on one side and the new Time Square public space on the other.

Selling everything from meat, fish, cheese, pies, fruit, veg, cakes and sweets, to jewellery, fabric, handbags, clothes, makeup, perfume, curtains, clothing alterations, comics, musical instruments, fairtrade products, key cutting and shoes repairs – plus the 'Cookhouse at Warrington' which is home to 11 worldwide food outlets and two independent bars.

The market is also home to the ‘Cookhouse at Warrington Market’. There is a huge variety of hot and cold dishes on offer and two independent bars, with an inside dining area and outdoor terrace. It can also be separated from the main market hall, to serve customers into the evening and to host special events.

Walking

The market has two entrances - one on Bridge Street and one from Time Square, off Academy Way.

Bike

There are bike racks outside the market on Dolmans Lane and in front of the council offices in the square.

By road

You can park on the Time Square multi-storey car park on Bank Street.

By bus

The nearest bus stops are on Scotland Road, Academy Street and Rylands Street, or you can walk from Warrington Bus Interchange, which is only a short distance away.

On the train

The nearest railway station is Warrington Central, which is a ten minute walk through town.

The market forms part of the wider Time Square development - an eagerly awaited regeneration of Warrington’s leisure scene.

Awards

Warrington Market has been rated one of the best indoor markets in the UK! We've added another accolade to the collection, winning the Best Large Indoor Market category at the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) Great British Market Awards 2022. Previously, we were named 'Market of the Year' in Cheshire Life's Keep Life Local awards in 2020.

We’ve also won awards from organisations including the National Market Traders Federation (NMTF), Association of Private Market Operators (AMPO), National Farmers Retail and Markets Association (NFRMA) and the Association Town Centre Management (ATCM).
