Warrington Archives – Search room
Culture Warrington is pleased to welcome visitors back to the Archives. The Search room will be open for local and family history enthusiasts, by appointment only, from Wednesday 7th October.
Initially eight research slots will be available per week, each lasting two hours.
Due to limited space, if a party of two people from the same household wish to visit, two slots must be booked.
Researchers should book a ticket through this website and must then contact the Archives with a list of documents they would like to consult, citing reference numbers where possible. The Archives can be contacted via e-mail at: [email protected]
If you have a question, but are unsure what documents may answer it, please state your enquiry in the e-mail and we will do our best to suggest a suitable selection of documents.
The Archives collections can be searched online, when searching the catalogue be sure to select Warrington from the Repository drop down box.
The Local Studies collections can be searched online, when searching the catalogue select ‘Heritage Hub’ from the drop down box on the right hand side of the page.
