If you're the landlord of a property and you have a tenant move in or out then you need to let us know. 

You’ll need to tell us:

• your name
• your address
• the address of the property you are renting out
• the date you bought the property
• the name and address of the previous owner, and the previous tenants, if you know
• whether the property was furnished
• the name(s) of your tenants
• your tenants’ old address
• the date the tenancy starts, and the date they moved in

Using our online form

Please select the correct option when you use our online form to make sure that we get all of the information we need to process the change. 

If a tenant has left your property and no one else is moving in

Select the option ‘I am NOT moving but am now liable for Council Tax at my property’ You can add an alternative address for correspondence when you have completed the form under the “previous address for incoming notification” field.

If a tenant has left your property and a new one is moving in

Select 'I am NOT moving but am now liable for Council Tax at my property’ You can add an alternative address for correspondence when you have completed the form under the “previous address for incoming notification” field.

Once completed please then complete a further form by selecting the option ‘I am moving into the Warrington Borough Council area and would like to register for Council Tax at my new address’.
