Warrington Borough Councils Children's Residential Service is expanding with the opening of a number of innovative projects over the next 12 months. We have an exciting opportunity to join an already supportive and experienced staff team as a Residential Edge of Care Worker with a 37-hour contract.
The role
As a Residential Edge of Care Worker, you will be required to work as part of an outreach support service which also offers short to medium term stays for children and young people within our residential home. You will support children, young people and their families with a robust package of support that could include community outreach, providing care to the young people within the residential home and transition plans home where appropriate.
What's needed?
As part of this role, you will be expected to work evenings, weekend and complete sleep-in shifts.
This role can be challenging, rewarding and we are looking for people that are flexible, motivated, and resilient. The right candidate will be highly skilled, be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team as well as being able to work unsupervised within the community.
The right candidate will have the ability to meet the travel needs of the post. Have access to a car with business insurance or the ability to acquire business insurance as the post will involve transporting children, young people and families.
Along with a competitive salary you will be paid enhancements, sleep ins and mileage allowances with an extensive training package with development opportunities. You must hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 Diploma in Residential Care Work.
