The role

St Helens C. E. Primary School are a based in the village of Hollins Green, Warrington.

Play and Shine is an after-school club based on the grounds of St Helens C. E. Primary School, we are looking for passionate, enthusiastic, committed member to join our busy, thriving breakfast and after-school club.

Hours of work are 12.5 hours per week, 15:00 – 17:30, 38 weeks per year.

Main duties of the role will be:

  • To assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities 
    within a safe and caring environment.
  • To provide comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from 
    school classrooms and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
  • To provide refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety 
    standards are met.
  • To administer first aid when necessary.
  • To consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
  • To helping with club administration, including record keeping, ordering and 
    purchasing materials and equipment, where necessary.
  • To encourage child and parental involvement in the club and support.
  • To facilitate good communication with all members of the club, parents, school 
    and childcare and play related agencies.
  • To attend meetings as appropriate.
  • To undertake appropriate and relevant training.
  • To keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
  • To carry out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunities
    framework.
