With Warrington’s economic success, regeneration and growth we need a Principal Projects Manager to assist with the technical design, procurement and supervision of a wide range of exciting engineering and sustainable travel projects within the Borough, both on and off highway supporting the Council’s Local Transport Plan and capital investment programme.

The role

The role falls within the Transport for Warrington Service area, providing an internal design and delivery service for the Directorate, and is based at our new offices in the Time Square development within Warrington Town Centre. The job is a permanent Grade 10 Principal Project Manager position and entails 37 hours of work per week.

What's needed?

It will be necessary for the post holder to have experience of delivering and managing highway/infrastructure schemes to quality, time and budget from inception through to completion. Experience of working within a local authority would be beneficial but not essential. You will need to have a driving licence as travel around the borough is an essential requirement of the position. The post holder will be a key contact for numerous stakeholders within the borough and as such will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills whilst maintaining professional standards and creating good working relationships between the Council and external bodies.
