Are you passionate about making a real difference for children and young people. In Warrington, all our children’s homes are Ofsted rated GOOD or OUTSTANDING. We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be the Registered Manager of our new children’s home.
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring leader who share our passion for supporting our most vulnerable children.
The home will consist of a registered homes manager, one deputy manager, a team of residential care workers and wake night staff.
The home will also have a move on property on site to transition children from the home into semi-independent living.
The successful candidate will benefit from Warrington’s councils’ employees support and rewards program, competitive rates of pay. They will also be part of a group of 7 experienced registered managers and 8 deputy managers in the authority that meet regularly with the service manager to share best practice.

The role
To effectively manage a team of staff providing care for children & young people in a residential setting in accordance with legislation and departmental policies and procedures.
To ensure that the care provided is of the highest quality in an environment which supports and encourages children to reach their full potential.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of the cared for children and young people.
To ensure that the home operates within the National Minimum Standards and Regulations for Children’s Homes and to develop a service that offers outstanding results for children and young people.

The closing date for this post will be Friday 31 January 2025 and interviews will take place on Thursday 07 February 2025. The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
