The role

Service Development Manager – Intermediate Care Tier

Warrington Borough Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Development Manager to join our Intermediate Care Tier. This role is key to driving service improvements and developing innovative business solutions that achieve better outcomes for our population. You will work closely with partner organizations across health, the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sectors to deliver an integrated and responsive care offer.

As the Service Development Manager, you will:

  • Lead the development of services within the Intermediate Care Tier, ensuring they are person-centred, effective, and aligned with local needs.
  • Manage and deliver key projects in collaboration with health and VCFSE partners, driving interdependent programmes of work that focus on prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, independence, and seamless care transitions.
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure services are integrated and support the long-term goals of Warrington’s care strategy.
  • Monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services that benefit the local community.
