Swim Teacher - Level 2 ( Part Time)
About us
LiveWire delivers Aquatic Programmes across five pools in Warrington, including swimming lessons to children and adults from pre-school to lessons for children 4 years and above, through to teaching adults to learn to swim, following the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework. This role will report to the Aquatics Manager and will work with a team of qualified swim teachers to support the delivery of our successful Learn to Swim Programme.
The role
LiveWire are looking for enthusiastic, motivational and supportive qualified Level 2 Swim Teachers to support delivery of our Learn to Swim programme across our five pools. This may include supporting pre-school children through our Ducklings lessons, children through the core stages of Swim England's Learn to Swim Framework and adults learning to swim.
There are various hours available across our sites with lessons running Monday to Thursdays from approximately 4-7pm and Saturday and Sunday mornings.
What's needed?
- Experience of delivering Swim England's Learn to Swim Framework is essential to support delivery of lessons to a range of ages and abilities.
- Understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum School Swimming standards is beneficial as is experience supporting children with additional needs as LiveWire also has successful School Swimming and SEND Learn to Swim programmes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are required to support lesson participants and working with the wider Aquatics team
- Successful candidates will require a valid Swim England Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification or equivalent and ideally hold an RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification (NPLQ) or RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC)
- Ongoing training attendance to support pool safety qualification is required as part of this role
An Enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
