Zest – who provide EV charge point infrastructure for public and commercial landowners across the country – have been selected by Warrington Borough Council as the new operator.
As part of this change, all the chargers at the car park will be replaced. In total, ZEST will be installing:
- 52 x 7kw EV charging bays
- Ground floor: 2 dedicated disabled bays, 2 dedicated EV Car Club bays
- Floor 4: 24 EV charging bays
- Floor 6: 24 EV charging bays
- 4 x 50kw rapid EV charging bays (Ground floor – all 4 will be accessible bays)
The old chargers will be switched off on 1 May, with the 52 new ZEST 7kw chargers installed over a two-week period, from 1-15 May.
It will be a phased install and ZEST are aiming to have some of the chargers on-line by the end of the first week.
The 4 new 50kw rapid chargers will be installed in June.
While this changeover is happening, there will be a short period of disruption. The council apologises for this and thanks all users for their patience while the work is carried out.
Users will need to download the ZEST Charging App to use the chargers. This can be found at zest.uk.com/drivers
