They will offer information on their services and how to access them, highlighting the range of mental health support services on offer in Warrington.

Alongside the informal information stalls that providers will be hosting, there will also be several taster sessions for people to try, including a mindfulness session, positive thoughts session and a mental fitness session.

There will also be a Tai Chi taster session and a Food and Mood session, to provide a holistic approach to mental health.

Cllr Maureen McLaughlin, Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Social Care said: “Looking after your mental health is vital, and knowing when to seek help for yourself or someone else is just as important. This event is a great opportunity for residents to learn about the services avaliable to them and their loved ones if they need them.

“The day also brings an opportunity for organisations to connect and have a better understanding of what each other does, which will help strengthen the mental health offer across Warrington, ensuring residents are receiving the most appropriate support for their needs.

“Talking about mental health can help us cope better with life’s ups and downs. So, on World Mental Health Day and beyond, why not check in with your friends, family, peers, or colleagues.”
