The award-winning Warrington Market is set once again to host the annual event in Time Square, with over 35 young business owners aged 16-30 showcasing everything from specialist street food, artisan drinks to art and design, homewares, fashion, and even items for your furry friends.
There will be live music throughout the day, featuring some of the best up and coming talent, curated by local promoter, Lee Harman, of Warrington Music.
Now in its 15th year, the Young Traders Market is a countrywide competition run by the National Market Traders Federation across 40 towns and cities. Previous winners have included Warrington Market’s Rob Leicester from Warrington Fruit and Veg.
A judging panel will shortlist the best young traders on the day to represent Warrington at a regional North West heat in Bolton later in the year.
Cllr Laura Watson, Cabinet Member for economy, growth and quality work, said: “It is fantastic to see Warrington Young Traders Market return for the 15th time.
“With over 35 young entrepreneurs showcasing their businesses from fashion to street foods, the Young Traders Market really showcases the innovation and entrepreneurship of these young people.
“I’d encourage everyone to come along to this hugely popular event and join us in celebrating the next generation of traders and their local businesses."
Cllr Laura Watson will also be a judge in this year’s event, alongside Council Leader Cllr Hans Mundry and Cllr Karen Mundry.
Warrington Young Traders Market will take place on Saturday 18 May, 10am - 4pm.
