The Forget-me-not Baby Garden in Warrington Cemetery opened in 2000, and the Rose Bud Baby Garden in Fox Covert Cemetery in 2001.
Both have a bronze statue of a baby on an unfinished granite column, signifying a life begun but not yet completed.
Service
You may like to have a 30 minute funeral service in our Warrington cemetery chapel or Walton Lea Crematorium free of charge if followed by burial in one our cemeteries.
Burial
Burials take place in the lawned areas, and you can choose to purchase have a memorial or headstone from a BRAMM (British Registration of Monumental Masons) registered stonemason of your choice. Burial and interment can be found on our funeral costs page.
There may be other costs depending on the options you choose, for example the type of coffin. Speak to your funeral director or find out more about cemetery burials.
Strewing
There is a dedicated area in both gardens where ashes may be strewn. You can arrange for a ceremony to take place, please contact us to arrange a day and time. Alternatively we can carry out the strewing for you.
Plaques - baby garden graves
Each garden includes a raised memorial planter. Memorial plaques are available for a 20-year period, and you can buy one even if you don’t have a baby buried in the garden. Costs for plaques can be found on our funeral costs page.
Flowers and tributes
You are welcome to place ornaments and toys, but please make sure they are on or to the side of the headstone, or on the gravel strip in front. This helps us to carefully and safely maintain the area, and is considerate to all visitors to the garden.
