Following a request from government in February 2024, we have published our productivity plan.
All councils have been requested to submit their productivity plans by July 2024. Council productivity plans are expected to cover four main areas:
- Transformation of services to make better use of resources
- Opportunities to take advantage of technology and data
- Ways to reduce wasteful spend
- Barriers preventing activity that government can help to reduce or remove
