Background

Warrington Borough Council has a strategic responsibility to ensure there are enough school places available for children and young people across the borough. As the local education authority, it is also required to promote high educational standards and ensure fair access to education. Principle 5 of this strategy highlights the importance of consulting with schools, parents, and local communities as part of the planning process for pupil places.
