In view of the Prime Ministers statement on Wednesday 7 October 2021 that houses should not be built on ?green fields? in a clear signal that the Government intends to abandon proposals for an overhaul of planning rules, then in my opinion the Council should put on hold the proposed submission of it?s Local Plan which may well need to be further amended when the Governments intentions are formally announced.
