I am writing to make it clear that I agree with every word of the text of the SWP document recently circulated. Apart from the excellent points made in the consultation notification, I would like to make two more closely connected observations: 1. New housing developments on this scale cannot possibly avoid bringing about a serious and really frustrating deterioration in the quality of life and practicalities of everyday personal business in South Warrington---all of it. 2. The new residents, once everything has come to fruition, will feel they have been duped into buying expensive properties in an a location festooned with both logistic and aesthetic shortcomings. We will ALL live in North Cheshire?s very own Milton Keynes. No Thanks. As a lifelong trade unionist and labour voter, I know that Johnson and his crew of cynics will be enjoying seeing a labour council caught between an authoritarian central government policy and making the consequences look positive at local level. There is nothing positive to say for it----take a trip to MK.
