I am writing to express my disappointment with the Local Plan that has been issued for consultation. The house building on the south east side of the town is totally inappropriate for many reasons but in particular for the effects it will have on the already desperate situation with road travel from south Warrington into the town. Travel times are already totally unacceptable and something needs to be done about the current situation, never mind making it worse with huge numbers of new houses. Getting through Stockton Heath is a complete nightmare at most times of the day. The journey south is the worst. Why there has not been some traffic engineering measures to try and improve the situation is beyond me. Journey times for public transport must be equally unacceptable. This madness needs to stop.
