Town centres are all becoming ghost towns and to meet climate change targets we are being encouraged not to use our cars. Why are we then still planning on building on green belt land on the outskirts? Surly we should be considering re developing our town centres and building houses close to the transport hubs. The only infrastructure currently being considered for the new houses currently being built in the Appleton area is broadband. No transport links, no road improvement, no shops and no schools. And the houses are so close together they don?t even meet the Covid 2 metre rule. Off road parking is limited so we already have footpaths blocked with parked vehicle. When are planners going to wake up to the 21st century.
