I can see the need for new homes but the brownfield sites should surely be used first. The traffic from Warrington up the A49 through Stockton Heath is already horrendous. Alternative routes over either of the other two swing bridges are equally as bad. And that is without the innumerable closures of the M6 which result in all the motorway traffic coming along the A49. There are already a considerable amount of houses being built which will have a huge impact on the already-struggling doctors, schools etc. I know from experience of living in other areas of the UK that promises to build further shops, schools and leisure facilities are very often not fulfilled. Surely a massive development on this scale should not be permitted. Oh and by the way, the loss of Green Belt land is an absolute travesty.
