Summary of comments

After giving careful consideration to the proposed plans, we feel the Council has firstly provided no justification for the predicted growth and more so, no justification for the scale of green belt release. Our property, is a Grade II building and listed with English Heritage, the local plans have given no consideration to the history of this building and the surrounding area, should the plan go ahead it will destroy the landscape and character of our village. Together with the above, the area is home to Lumb Brook Valley which is an ancient woodland managed by the Woodland Trust. The construction of more dwellings and more roads will have a great impact on the woodland harming the air quality and subsequently the local ecology. We believe that Warrington Borough Council have identified brown field sites that will meet the housing needs, however they have chosen not to pursue this option and instead chose to use the green belt area of South Warrington, we ask the council to properly assess the environmental and ecological impact this will have.
