After reading and studying the Warrington local plan I am horrified to see a proposal for 4200 new homes in Grappenhall, Appleton Thorn and Stretton .
I cannot see how this plan will enhance the lives of the people in these areas who have already experienced a massive amount of building and subsequent traffic . The small ?village? of Stockton heath already has poor air quality due to heavy traffic it really cannot cope with potentially another 8000 cars ( most people have 2 now) . Not only traffic but the area of green space this would take up with the loss of trees and public walks is criminal.
I would like to know what the councils end vision actually is . To just keep expanding Warrington south is not going to make it a better place to live , it will make it worse with noise litter pollution and just more people. Sometimes it?s just time to say stop.
