Nowhere in the Local Plan do they refer to the fact that Winwick village becomes gridlocked three times per day with the existing traffic, let alone the prospect of adding another 130 properties just along Golborne Road?.
Three years ago the council administered traffic-calming activities to reduce the speed of vehicles travelling through the village and, more recently, have applied a 7.5tonne weight limit on trucks proceeding through. Again, to add more traffic to this area is reckless and irresponsible.
Not to mention the fact that they propose building these new houses on green belt land! When there is adequate brown belt land available for development elsewhere in Warrington - and the need for so many houses isn?t there anyhow!
