Summary of comments

The increase in traffic will further harm air quality. Careful thought must be given to the inclusion in the plan of green travel solutions, including cycling and public transport. The areas earmarked for development already have a very limited public transport network, with the towns two railway stations some miles away
The roadside footpaths in South Warrington, particularly around Thelwall and Lymm are already in very poor condition and where present are usually quite narrow. Many routes in the area have no footpath at all, such as Broad Lane, causing a danger to existing walkers. More growth in these areas will exacerbate these safety issues
Loss of such an amount of green belt and open spaces is a real concern. Many of these areas are used for recreational activities away from the busy roads in the area. Building on our green belt land will also significantly impact the ecology of these areas. Other options must be considered first, including looking again at all available brownfield sites.
