The UK population (and as a consequence Warrington?s) will peak in due course sometime within the next century then it will start to fall once more. What will happen to all this surplus housing/employment space built on Green Belt now when this population shrinkage eventually starts to happen?
So, the Local Plan is short sighted. EVERYTHING built from here on in should be going on existing brownfield sites & we should be thinking of the medium/longer term. We owe it to future generations but first & foremost, the planet.
