Loss of Green Belt is not justified. Majority of land to be released from Green Belt is in South Warrington. Number of new houses and warehouse facilities will change character of the area and offer no economic or social benefits. Environmental impact of loss of Green Belt not considered. Plan doesn't demonstrate 'very special circumstances' for Green Belt development.

Summary of comments

Majority of new housing not affordable for local people. Workers at warehouses will not be able to afford to live locally, and will add to congestion and pollution. New housing in South Warrington would be too far from railway station and add to road traffic congestion. No new route into town from SE. Existing infrastructure already overstretched, no confidence that necessary infrastructure will be delivered. No plan for provision of key services. Plan does nothing to ease existing congestion and air pollution issues. Villages in south would merge into mass urban sprawl.
