I am totally opposed to the proposed green belt land development for the South Warrington areas of Grappenhall, Appleton, Appleton Thorn & Thelwall Hayes. I have bullet pointed my reasons why.
? The non-essential conversion of green belt will have a detrimental impact on agriculture, wild life, including migratory birds.
? The negative impact this will have on local schools, and GP services which are already oversubscribed.
? An increase of traffic on local roads and the M6 in the local section of the A50 will further increase in gridlocks and a rise in air pollution. This congestion will also put pressure on those roads that have suffered severe disruptive from flooding for example the Bridgewater canal underpass which is increasing every year.
? The development of this land will impact on Cliff Lane as stated due to numerous flooding, with the disruption of the natural water courses.
? It would massively impact the beauty of the area that local people and visitors enjoy which is promoted as a tourist attraction the Trans Pennine Trail and the Bridgewater canal and its footpath.
