Overall housing requirement is flawed as based on out of date data. Phasing of development is unclear. Development of brownfield land should be prioritised with Green Belt release last. Very little thought appears to have been given to how the road networks will cope with the additional traffic. Additional Bridgwater Canal crossing needs more clarity. Crossings over the MSC are already horrendous. The plan will cause a great amount of air pollution. There is no mention of Northern Powerhouse rail link. The impact of the plan on the Green Belt will be catastrophic, as well as the impact on ecology. The plan should instead focus on regeneration of the town centre. Landscape and character of Warrington's surrounding villages should be protected. The local plan is not sound or fit for purpose.
