Large scale warehousing on Green Belt not justified, will result in additional congestion/pollution issues - would be better located near rail network. Development will not offer significant employment opportunities as suggested due to automation. Workers likely to commute from elsewhere as nearby housing is unaffordable - increasing road traffic.

Summary of comments

Majority of development will likely be taken up by people commuting to Manchester/Liverpool due to lack of affordable housing in area. Scale of development will ruin rural character of area. Plan lacks detail on infrastructure delivery to support no. of new residents. Government will be reviewing calculations on which housing numbers are based - Greenbelt should not be built on unless all brownfield sites have been used and the calculations really justify it.

More focus needed on limiting climate change impact. Plan not in line with declared climate emergency.
