Summary of comments
No infrastructure proposed to support developments proposed in Green Belt. No controls on the rate of housebuilding once Green Belt has gone. Plan has complete disregard for historical nature and character of South Warrington. Development will increase reliance on road transport. Plan does nothing for development opportunities in town centre - more focus needed on regeneration. Growth should not be driven by new housing creating economic development - should be other way around.

Summary of comments
Plans for new road infrastructure are too vague - no clear commitment on funding and delivery of infrastructure improvements.

Summary of comments
Inquiry in 2004 suggested that the land should not be used for development.
Documents
Green Belt boundary only confirmed 7 years ago for 20 year period - releasing it reduces trust in WBC. Brownfield land in town centre should first be developed. No assessment on environmental/ecological impact on loss of Green Belt. Release of Green Belt contradicts Government policies. Plan promotes a ' Green Belt first' approach rather than a more eco-conscious 'No Green belt first' method.
