No exceptional circumstances for Green Belt release, boundary was only confirmed 7 years ago for next 20 years. Plan does not appear to consider brownfield sites that are likely to become available in future.

Proposed employment area near M6 junction 20 / M56 junction 9 mainly for logistics - unlikely that jobs will be filled by people buying the houses in the SEWUE. Many of the new employees will commute to work from outside the area, mostly in private cars. Many people buying the in the SEWUE will commute to jobs elsewhere.

More focus needed on town centre regeneration.

Scale of development would change look and feel of village communities. Plan targets building houses, rather than creating jobs (or creating the conditions to encourage new jobs). Building houses should be related to the needs of the community and the jobs created, not the other way around. Necessary infrastructure needs to be in place before residential developments are built. No. of new homes would add to existing issues with congestion/pollution. Traffic models for area are wrong and logic is not sound. No new bridges/roads to alleviate traffic from South Warrington into town centre proposed.
