Green Belt should be preserved where possible in line with Government environmental targets. Brownfield sites should be prioritised for development. Plan proposes large no. of developments away from town centre - thus increasing reliance on road network and adding to existing issues with pollution and congestion. Lower air quality will impact residents health and have knock on effect with hospitals and health services. Scale of development proposed will take away from semi-rural appeal of area.
