There is no justification for the number of new houses being proposed when recent calculations suggest that Warrington?s future population is likely to be smaller than has been used in the Plan. The Plan is suggesting an annual build rate that is higher than has ever been built before.

The exceptional circumstances for releasing land from the Green Belt have not been justified as brownfield sites are not being developed first.

Objects to the level of development in policy area MD2 for several reasons: The local infrastructure is not capable of supporting the proposed number of new houses (roads/health care and school provision); there is no evidence of how the increased need for a reliable public transport service will be introduced or funded.
