Housing figures are not a target and the Council has used out of date figures to calculate the housing requirement for Warrington. Exceptional circumstances for the release of Green Belt have not been demonstrated. There is no need for housebuilding on the scale suggested. Warrington has poor air quality and the creation of car dependent estates will make this worse and create more congestion. The Victorian swing bridges cannot cope with current levels of traffic. The health of Warrington residents must be taken into consideration. Brownfield land should be prioritised and countryside should be preserved, with a particular reference to Thelwall Heys.
