Questions population numbers - figures are out of date. More recent data predicts growth at lower level. Therefore, no justification for the plan to exceed the calculated need, particularly in light of current economic uncertainty.

Summary of comments

Green Belt should not be considered for development until all brownfield sites have been utilised. Employment proposals are not backed by any meaningful economic strategy for the area. Warehousing is not a sustainable long term employment option. Road infrastructure is unsuitable to support proposed employment developments. Existing empty units should be used for employment and housing allocation before Green Belt release - exceptional circumstances for Green Belt release not met. Questions justification for proposed housing in Thelwall. Greater clarity needed on infrastructure delivery. Concern for pollution levels. Proposed development will be damaging to local ecology and increase flood risk. No justification for WWL. Existing swing bridges need urgent attention. The success of the plan relies on a mass movement of the population from vehicle to public transport, cycling and walking - no evidence to suggest this will happen.
