Summary of comments

Plan does not address need to reduce carbon footprint - facilities should be provided within walking distance/short car journey from residential areas. Facilities mentioned in the plan are vague and poorly thought out - concern that they will be either late or never provided. Plan is important for South Warrington - consultation events should not have been held in north Warrington as many of the residents affected by the plan were unable to attend. Greater focus needed on town centre regeneration before development on Green Belt. Additional housing will add to existing pressures on existing leisure amenity land in Stretton and Appleton. Plan does not preserve enough green space. Plan does not address poor access from South Warrington to town centre. Existing congestion issues not addressed in plan. Transport links for the substantial no. of new homes are not catered for.
