Why you support the legal compliance or soundness of the Draft Local Plan or its compliance with the duty to co-operate

The public has been given the opportunity to view, question and comment on the changes to the local plan changes in different formats. We attended the consultation meeting on the 12th October, so not only had the opportunity to view plans for our area but also spoke to several people who were able to answer our questions and allay our fears, so confirming their co-operation.

Modification if applicable

There is apparently a plan to develop locally at Ashton's Farm, Burtonwood which is only in pre-screening public opinion stage, not yet in planning. We did ask about this in the meeting we attended but were told this was not part of the plan which goes up to 2038. We think it would have been useful to have some information/acknowledgement of this possible development, even if no submission has yet been made.
