Why you consider the Draft Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate

As a School Governor I am horrified by the development of housing and school on the Fiddlers Ferry site.
There are surplus places in all of the Primary Schools in Penketh. They could well answer the needs of any of the families who would move into housing on the Fiddlers Ferry site. It strikes me that this Local Plan is providing information as what is going to be done and this consultation period is futile. I would love to be proved wrong. However, I have seen at first hand how the Borough Council disregarded the needs of the people in the massive development of housing in West Warrington. The only benefits provided were 1.Skyline Drive ( which benefitted the huge Warehouses that were built)
2.The three Primary Schools , where the PAN was increased. Incidentally, the closing of Sycamore Lane and the building of Chapleford and then the immediate increase of the PAN showed that in planning the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing!
Proper consultation needs to take place with the Schools which will be massively affected and any other interested parties for example the Liverpool Archdiocese.. Boundary changes are in the puipeline and these need to be factored in.
Fiddlers Ferry site would have direct access from any housing developments to Penketh, either along the Canal or directly down the A5080, by Bicycle, Car or Bus. The first schools to be reached would be St Vincents Catholic Primary, and Penketh South. Penketh Primary is just a little further on. All of these schools have places. The area is also served by two successful High Schools with direct access - Penketh High and St Gregorys Catholic High School. If you really do believe in your definition of what a Local Plan is you would consider this and explore this fully with all the stakeholders.

Modification if applicable

Please see my comments to 4.

Schools are already in existence that would service the needs of any families to be rehoused on the Fiddlers Ferry site.
The demographics of Penketh show an aging population so school places are not in the same high demand as in other areas.. The existing schools in the area would more than serve the needs of children in any new housing development.
Let u focu not on what we already have but rather provide for the needs of ALL of the people in the area, for example the development of a medical facility /hub/centre. This is because what is on offerm, not just for this area but for the whole town of Warrington is woefully inadequate and not fit for purpose.
