UPSVLP 2158
The plan is unsound for 2 reasons :
1) Green Belt Land should be sacrosanct and neither Government or Local Authority should be able to use the Green Belt without ALL other alternative startegies being used first, see 2 below
2) Warrington has fantastic brown field site opportunities ripe for development not only because these sites are more easily served with the necessary infrastructure but also because it is a myth that the SEUE will provide affirdable housing, it will not. My daughter, age 25, was looking to move into affordable housing in the current developments in the SEUE area and was staggered to discover the cheapest properties started at ?260,000. The plan should be geared to providing housing for young people who desparately want to get onto the housing market not for affluent middle-aged people who are already established in the property market.
I would expect nothing less than the plan to be compliant and all cooperation requirements to be met
I am not a lawyer or have any experience in drafing local plans. I simply want my concerns above to taken on baord and the propsals for the developemnt of SEUE to be substantially curtailed.
