Why you consider the Draft Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate

The proposed plan for substantial additional housing does not include the required concurrent expansion of infrastructure, bearing in mind the North West average of 1.4 vehicles and 2.8 persons per household. Potential acesss/egress locations for the proposed housing site are likely to have a significant negative impact on the surrounding areas, as will the increase in marine traffic generated to acesss ports east of Warrington, which will only compound this issue with further bridge openings. Furthermore the plan does not provide adequate rationale or justification for the release of green belt land for this development. Finally, there is a lack of clarity of how exactly the proposed plans will be delivered.

Modification if applicable

A cancellation or significant scale down of the proposed housing development plans on green belt land is essential
