Why you consider the Draft Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate

The Plan doesn't appear to adequately address how the infrastructure will be improved between South Warrington and Warrington Town Centre given the congestion we already have on our road network particularly on the A49 London Road, and the Chester Road and the issues with the ageing swing bridges.

Also if the Plan is designed to increase employment and economic growth, it's not clear how the new affordable housing is linked to employment areas or how public transport links will be improved to serve those areas. The more likely scenario is that we will see further increase in traffic congestion which contravenes the need to reduce pollution and improve air quality.

Modification if applicable

Further clarification is required on the transport / infrastructure changes that would be introduced to reduce congestion and improve links with employment areas, and ensure we improve air quality.
