Why you consider the Draft Local Plan is not legally compliant or is unsound or fails to comply with the duty to co-operate

Government policy on protection for the Green Belt is set out in chapter 13 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), which opens by stating that the Government attaches great importance to Green Belts. The continued development of greenbelt land in Appleton and the proposals set out in the plan for SOUTH WARRINGTON go against the NPPF policy.

Modification if applicable

I do not believe the inclusion of the brown field development for fiddlers ferry power station goes far enough. The plan should utilize this area as much as possible with significantly more houses. this area has significant road infrastructure whereas others do not inc the potential use of the greenbelt land. You could also use the to be redundant train line as a sustainable tram link from the area into the center of Warrington? The plan should include more use of existing non greenbelt land and focus on hoe we can develop areas in and around A21 where this is ideal for development as again has great transport links.
