Policy MD5-Thelwall Hays. An additional 300 homes or circa 1000 people. Very substantial road improvements will be required to the Springbrook junction and for the full length of Knutsford Road between the Ship canal and Cliff Lane (near Junction 20 of the M6) and at the Ship Canal swing bridge and through Latchford Village and at Bridgefoot. All these locations are already seriously overloaded. Also it states that the boundary of the green belt would be better defined. Its perfectly well defined now i.e. at Stockport Road. I have no doubt that in the future the Council will say the green belt would be better defined by moving it to Weaste Lane and so it goes on, a continual erosion of the green belt, it has to stop now.One of the reasons we moved to Grappenhall was the proximity of the green belt.

Policy MD6-South East Warrington Employment Area Same road problem objections as above. The Latchford swing bridge would need to be replaced with a grade separated interchange. The Council appear to adopt the same policy throughout the town. Rake in the money for the sale of land, rake in the money for council tax and other taxes and forget about improving the infrastructure because that costs money. A "let them eat cake policy". We live at 180 Knutsford Road and any further increase in traffic on Knutsford Road would have a detrimental effect on the value of our property. I have no doubt this applys to all the houses and businesses on this stretch of road. When will the council realise that serious developments require serious infrastructure improvements and not this continuous doing it on the cheap attitude With this policy the loses are the existing good people of Warrington, there doesn?t appear to be any benefit to them just more misery.
