There are a number of childcare schemes that will give you free childcare hours, depending on the age of your child and your circumstances;

2 Year old funded place

If your child is 2 years old and you are in receipt of any of the following benefits – income support, income-based jobseeker’s allowance, income-related employment and support allowance, universal credit (where your household income is £15,400 or less), tax credits (and your pre-tax household income is £16,190 or less), guaranteed element of pension credit – then you could get 15 hours of funded childcare per week – 38 weeks across the school year – with a childcare provider (nursery or childminder).
