Kingsway Bridge
For the Kingsway Bridge Improvement scheme to be delivered according to the final design, we need to remove three trees:
- One at Kingsway North
- One at Bridgewater Avenue
- One at Grange Avenue
The trees impact on accessibility for pedestrians and cycle users and therefore the removal of them will allow for improvements for these journeys.
Due to the lack of space, replanting of trees is not possible in the same locations as the felled trees, so the proposal is to plant six new replacement trees at locations to be confirmed along the Kingsway corridor.
You can view copies of the tree site notice, as well as the final project plan, through the links below. The project plan shows the trees planned for removal outlined in red.
To provide comments on this proposal, please email [email protected]. Alternatively, comments may be posted to Warrington Borough Council, East Annexe, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH. Any comments should be made by Monday 2 December 2024.
