There are several options available for you to pay your business rates.

Pay online

To use the 24-hour online payment service you'll need your debit or credit card and your business rates account reference number (shown on your bill).

To make a payment online you need to be using a secure, up-to-date web browser:

Direct debit

You can set up a direct debit, available payment dates are the 5th, 10th, 20th or 30th of the month, and you can pay over 10 or 12 months ( If you wish to pay over 12 months please contact us before 15 April). Alternatively you can choose to pay half yearly or annually.

Or download the direct debit form for business rates, print it off, fill it in and send it back to us.

Phone

Call 0300 456 0530 to make an automated telephone payment. You'll need your account number and a debit or credit card. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All calls are charged at local rates. Calls made with other suppliers may be more and calls made from mobiles will cost considerably more.

Call 01925 443322 to speak to an advisor and make a payment. This service is available Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm.

Cash

You can pay in cash if you take your barcoded bill to the Post Office or PayPoint store.

PayPoint

You can pay at any PayPoint store. You’ll need to take your council tax bill with you so the barcode can be scanned.

Allpay

Allpay is a swipe card which lets you make payments at PayPoint stores and Post Offices. Please contact us and we can arrange for a card to be sent to you.

Cheques

Make your cheque payable to 'Warrington Borough Council' and cross A/C payee. 

Write your council tax account number on the back. We can't accept post-dated cheques.

You can:

  • bring it to Contact Warrington
  • post it to Contact Warrington, East Annexe, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH
  • take it to your bank and ask for it to be credited to 01-09-17 03383385
  • You can also pay by cheque at a Post Office, but make your cheque payable to "Post Office Ltd" and cross "A/C Payee". Please take your barcoded bill with you.
