The Role

2 x Teaching Assistants Level 2 Fixed Term - 1 x 37 hours based in Fox Wood School, and 1 x 37 hours based at Fox Cubs (EYFS) Satellite site (based at Sandy Lane)

Required: September 2024

Fox Wood is a school for pupils with ASD, and with Severe and Profound Multiple Learning difficulties. The school continues to grow and flourish and the governors are therefore delighted to advertise the opportunity for the right candidates to join our truly fantastic team. We currently have two vacancies due to relocation of a member of staff, and expansion. One vacancy is in our School, and One at our Fox Cubs (EYFS) Satellite site (based at Sandy Lane) to provide support for our pupils.

Those appointed will :

  • Have experience of working with children with special educational needs
  • Be keen to undertake additional training
  • Be a team player
  • Have a sensitive but enthusiastic approach
  • Have high expectations of learners
  • Have well developed communication skills, both with children and adults

Experience of any of the following would be particularly advantageous at this time:

  • ASD, SLD or PMLD
  • A general understanding of Speech and Language/Communication difficulties
  • Supporting pupils in EYFS/Year 1
