About us

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Warrington Adult Social Care as we continue to build on our Warrington Together partnership approach to the provision of care and support. One of the key tenets of the council strategy is an ambition to ensure “residents live healthy, happy and independent lives”. Responsibility for realisation of this ambition is vested in the statutory Health and Wellbeing Board, through the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, whose vision is for Warrington to be “a place where we work together to create a borough with stronger neighbourhoods, healthier people and greater equality across our all our communities, supporting people to live longer with more of those years in good health, where the gap in life expectancy between the least and most deprived areas reduced”.

The strategy seeks to support:

·     People to live in healthy, safe and sustainable communities,

·     People to have the skills and resources needed to improve their life chances,

·     People to value being and feeling well and will live active, independent and fulfilled lives.

The improvement in people’s quality of life through the ability to access appropriate, quality care and support when and where they need it is central to Adult Social Care’s vision of “Working together to support people to live well.”  We aim to work with communities to find new approaches to enhance wellbeing, develop prevention activities, and improve social care so that we can help people to live well for as long as possible in their own home or community.

Like many other councils Warrington Adult Social Care faces challenges-increasing demand for services resulting from a rapidly ageing population who will, rightly, expect timely access to high-quality health and care services, increasing population expectation as well as increasing dependency and mounting economic pressure resulting in demand for Council funded support. These challenges ultimately manifest in growing financial pressures for the Council as a whole. Adult Social Care has embarked on a transformative approach by building upon the current strategy to embed the strengths-based model more deeply, aiming to enhance services and outcomes for residents while achieving financial efficiencies crucial for long-term sustainability.
