The role

The Governors at St Stephen’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a reliable and self-motivated Caretaker to join our friendly and hard-working school team.

The role is 10 hours per week, Monday-Friday, all year round, working hours are 7am- 9am. Flexibility around hours during the school holidays by agreement Occasional additional hours to support after-school/weekend activities. Annual leave of 25 days per year (to be taken during school closure periods)

The post is a key-holder position with a requirement to be the first point of contact in the event of an out-of-hours alarm call.

We are seeking applications from individuals who can:

• Assist the maintenance officer in effective site management
• Provide a safe and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors
• Demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe practises
• Communicate effectively with staff, pupils, governors, parents & contractors
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date written & electronic records
• Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos of the school
